Napier Museum

The renowned Napier Museum, which was constructed in 1855, is situated on 55 acres of property and is surrounded by other significant landmark structures, including the Natural History Museum, a Zoological Park, an Art Gallery, an Aquarium, and a 3D Theatre. It was constructed with the intention of promoting both indigenous and international arts and crafts that depict historical events and figures. The Government Art Museum, which draws inspiration from Indian, Mughal, Chinese, and Malayali architectural traditions, was named for the former governor of Madras, Governor General John Napier.

Numerous historical relics and riches, including bronze statues, temple chariots, and elaborate ivory carvings and ornaments, are on display. Additionally, they use Japanese leather shadow puppets to tell the Mahabharata and Ramayana stories in a unique way. There are many things to do here, such as perusing the museum's more than 550 items, admiring artwork, going to the aquarium, or having a leisurely walk outside as the park's All India Radio plays and the wind blows over your hair.
